Pōhutukawa Collection - John Sands

Nothing says kiwi Christmas quite like the fiery red blooms of the Pōhutukawa also known as the Christmas tree of Aotearoa!

This festive collection licensed by John Sands features my illustrations of native flora and fauna in full summer bloom. The colour palette speaks to classic Christmas tones of red and green with pops of red foil. The range includes gift wrap and greeting card designs, celebrating the beauty of Aotearoa’s coastlines and that unmistakable holiday feeling.

I wanted the artwork to feel beautiful and modern with clean lines and a tidy composition. It’s all about celebrating connection, togetherness and that special kind of magic that only happens here in a southern hemisphere summer. The series has a broad appeal and has been such a crowd pleaser!
